Autodesk Inventor is optimized to take advantage of the SSE2 extended instruction sets supported on Pentium 4, AMD Athlon 64, and AMD Opteron processors. Inventor 2018 will not install on computers that do not support SSE2. Several utilities are available on the Internet that report CPUID including supported instructions sets.

HorizontalArrangement
Use a horizontal arrangement component to display a group of components laid out from left to right.
This component is a formatting element in which you place components that should be displayed from left to right. If you want to have components displayed one over another, use
VerticalArrangement instead.
In a
HorizontalArrangement , components are arranged along the horizontal axis, vertically center-aligned.
If a
HorizontalArrangement ’s Height property is set to Automatic , the actual height of the arrangement is determined by the tallest component in the arrangement whose Height property is not set to Fill Parent . If a HorizontalArrangment ’s Height property is set to Automatic and it contains only components whose Height properties are set to Fill Parent , the actual height of the arrangement is calculated using the automatic heights of the components. If a HorizontalArrangement ’s Height property is set to Automatic and it is empty, the Height will be 100.
If a
HorizontalArrangement ’s Width property is set to Automatic , the actual width of the arrangement is determined by the sum of the widths of the components. If a HorizontalArrangement ’s Width property is set to Automatic , any components whose Width properties are set to Fill Parent will behave as if they were set to Automatic .

TableArrangement

The extensions developed for using Artificial Intelligence features in MIT App Inventor, specifically the LookExtension and PersonalImageClassifer extension require running image classification directly on the mobile device, and not all mobile devices/operating systems currently have the required hardware/software to run the code.
If your device is not on the list below, we recommend testing your devices before attempting this in a classroom setting. Please download and install LookTest.apk. If the status at the top reads 'Status: Ready!' then the LookExtension and PersonalImageClassifier extensions will work. If not, you won't be able to run apps made with these extensions. If it works, you can try classifying some objects by pointing the device at an object and pressing the Classify Object button.

Another less expensive option is to use a Chromebook, as most will support the LookExtension. In addition, many Chromebooks now support running Android apps, so the MIT AI2 Companion can be installed directly on the Chromebook, and students can run the App Inventor IDE and the AI2 Companion on the same machine.
